Experience The Nautilus World Of Island-Inspired Cuisine At Ananda In The Himalayas

The world’s top ranked destination spa and wellness retreat, Ananda in The Himalayas, and highly bespoke bohemian hideaway and private island resort, The Nautilus Maldives, have partnered to offer a first of its kind wellbeing experience that is personalized, luxurious and truly one of a kind. Similar in ethos, yet different in their unique offerings, this collaboration kicking off in January 2022 offers the best of both worlds: the confluence of the majestic Himalayas and the expansive Indian Ocean, where the luxury of space and time become infinite. Two places where one can recharge, rejuvenate, and enjoy nature at its best.

From February to April 2022, guests at Ananda will savour signature dishes from the three gourmet restaurants of The Nautilus: Zeytoun, focusing on intriguing infusions of Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine; Ocaso, celebrating simplicity with Japanese and Latin-American creations; and Thyme, known for its island-inspired tropical cuisine.

The Nautilus is known for going completely off script in dining, tossing menus aside, and creating highly bespoke dining experiences that favour personal interaction and create delightful surprises. Unscripted dining – anywhere, anytime. The Nautilus’ three restaurants and two bars revel in the spontaneous, crafting bespoke culinary journeys tailored to each taste. Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine at Zeytoun; Latin- American and Japanese delights grilled to perfection at Ocaso; international choices at Thyme; free-flow gourmet canapés from Naiboli poolside bar.

The menu at these restaurants are curated by Chef Michael Pataran. He is a passionate, acclaimed chef who has always challenged and pushed traditional culinary boundaries at highly acclaimed award winning restaurants, resorts and boutique hotels throughout the world; including The USA, Canada, Europe, The Caribbean and Southeast Asia. Chef Michael is also a published writer and freelance columnist, most recently recognized for his contribution for Food & Wine Pairing for Dummies from the world-renowned series with master sommelier John Szabo; and has also contributed to and been featured in several international culinary and lifestyle magazines and publications.
